What is UpShift?
UpShift is a unique mix of bike-specific development and personal growth. We will ride, build fitness and refine skills together. We'll also explore concepts like mindset, confidence, physical and mental development, fueling and--of course--fun!

We will meet twice weekly as a team for 10 weeks from March to June (exact dates TBD). One day will be a journal sharing and connection day. The other will be a fun ride or team strength workout.
What's the UpShift journal?
This is my favorite part! I, along with a stellar team of expert women, am developing a journal for you to explore important aspects of competition, health and training. The journal will be packed with need-to-know concepts that maximize your performance, alongside areas for you to develop and apply your own ideas. Each week, we'll meet and chat about ideas that come up in the journal so we can grow as a team.
Who is UpShift for?
​UpShift is designed for high school girls wanting to improve their performance on the bike and in life.
Do I have to be fast or competitive to join UpShift?
Nope! If you simply want to learn how to approach riding more confidently, ensure you're taking care of your health and your primary goal is to have FUN, you'll be a great fit! It's best that you're not a total beginner and have done at least one season with NICA or similar before joining UpShift. There are plenty of topics to support more competitive athletes, too.
Do I have to hire a coach in order to be part of UpShift?
While the UpShift program is included for athletes receiving 1:1 coaching from me (see below), it isn't required. You can be part of UpShift just for the duration of the program. You can even be involved in another team and still sign on with UpShift! My vision is to encourage young riders to form authentic, supportive friend groups and explore their sport with just enough adult involvement.
What if I like a mix of sports?
I encourage doing what brings you joy. While UpShift takes a cycling-specific focus, I love weaving in cross-training with other sports and supporting your personal commitment to the athletic avenues that suit you. I come from a multi-sport background, so I naturally like to switch it up myself.
